Families and businesses still rebuilding, while another hurricane season begins.
It's been more than nine months since Hurricane Harvey devastated the Texas mid-coast, dropping more than 50 inches of rain and delivering raging wind and waves on parts of the Texas coast.
As June 1 marks the beginning of hurricane season, a season forecast to last until November, more than a few meet the storm season with a feeling of apprehension and anxiety, remembering all they suffered and all they have endured.
With another storm season upon us, we thought it might be a fitting tribute to illustrate the brave and gallant efforts of the people of coastal Texas through pictures and words that remind us that at the end of the day, we all are strong.
In the words of Winston Churchill, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.”
